The Most Efficient Way to Learn English is in Studio Classroom

Learning English is not a hard thing, but most people don’t agree with that. In my opinion, learning English can also be fun. All you have to do is read and listen to Studio Classroom. At first, I hated SC but after reading it and developed a habit of practicing it every day, my English has improved a lot! Now I like it because not only can I learn English from it, but also I can know a lot of news that are happening in our world.

The Best Way to Learn – Read It!

At first I hated SC because I couldn’t understand any sentences. But after a while, I found that my English had improved a lot through daily listening and reading practices. Therefore, Studio Classroom is really a nice magazine. I can learn English and also get some information and news at the same time. It is the best way to learn English and make a connection to the world we’re living now.

Listen to It Every Day

I have improved my English a lot because I listen to the CD every day since fifth grade. At first, I couldn’t understand any of it. But after I looked up the words in the dictionary, my vocabulary and reading skills had boosted up. Now Studio Classroom has become my favorite leisure reading.

Reflection

Even though Studio Classroom is a daily program in school, it is actually a lot of fun. The program I like the most is On-the-go which takes you to different places every Friday and see things you haven’t seen before. Last time Gabe and Andrea came to our school and played many games with us. It was really a lot of fun. Hope hey can come to visit us again.

Reflection 2

I didn’t really like Studio Classroom once. Actually I hated it. I didn’t like it because my dad kept on nagging me and telling me to listen to the CD and read the magazine. But now, I find that SC is actually very useful. The stories are easy to understand and the key words and grammar points are actually very useful. Studio Classroom is very helpful if you want to learn English well.

How to Learn English Better

Studio Classroom is an excellent way to learn English. There are many interesting stories, and you can learn from other people’s experiences just by reading it. You only have to continue reading, and keep up with your listening and writing, before soon you’ll improve your English so much. Try reading Studio Classroom and maybe you’ll do a better job on English test, too!

Introduction

Cape No. 7 is talking about a boy named A-ga(阿嘉) who was going to be a guest of a famous singer’s concert. He has to unite the band in order to have a great performance. He tried to let all of them know how to play their instruments- because most of them couldn’t play! There’s this Japanese girl named Tomoko(友子) who came to help manage the band from Japan. A-ga and Tomoko disliked each other but in the end they couldn’t help but falling in love with each other.

The Band

A-ga(阿嘉): He is the lead vocalist of the band. He also makes his own music. He wrote two songs for the band. I think he is really talented.

Marasan(馬拉桑): He is a wine salesman. He is always trying to sell his rice wines to others. He is an interesting man.

Da-da(大大): She’s the only girl in the band, and she is the youngest of all. SHe is so cute and she can also sing songs beautifully.

Mok-be(茂伯): He is the national treasure of Taiwan. He is good at playing four-stringed musical instrument called Yue-chin(月琴).

Zui-Ge(水蛙): He is working in the bike repair shop. And he likes the shopkeeper’s wife.

Tomoko(友子): She was an agent of models before, but after a big change, she became a band supervisor. She is Japanese and finally falls in love with A-ga.

The Soundtrack

One of the song from the movie is called “Below the Border(國境之南)”. A-ga adores Tomoko and has a crush on her. He secretly hopes that she can stay in Taiwan. So on the last day he dedicated this song to her to express his love.
There are lots of unforgettable memories in A-ga’s mind. He feels so sorry that he didn’t cherish her in the beginning. His heart fells lonely. He hope Tomoko can give him a second chance to finish the story of the two of them.

Doing Nothing Without Happiness(無樂不作)

This song is written by A-ga in Cape No. 7. In the movie, they’re preparing for a concert. And this is very important for him and his fellow band members. Although they have some problems with their band, they still sing the song perfectly to the audiences. The song arouses teenagers’ ambitions and their enthusiastic souls.

For Daughter (給女兒)

It’s a lovely song that was played in the movie. It’s written by a Japanese singer, Atari Kousuke(中孝介), who wrote this song to his daughter. The melody of the song can bring peace and joy to our heart. All of us like this song very much and we all hope you will like it too.

The Acting Blood

Lindsay Lohan is a very popular and famous actress. Her father and mother are both actor and actress. And she too acting and singing as her career. She starred in Freaky Friday, Herby and a lot more other movies. She has a lot of experience performing because she started her stardom when she was very young.

Freaky Friday

Freaky Friday is a famous movie and one of her early works. It’s a story about the conflicts between the mother, Dr. Tess, and her daughter, Anna. First they encounter a big trouble. While trying to figure out what each other is thinking, they made connections and bonding with each other and solve the problem. The story tells us how important good communication is.

Herbie

Herbie is a great movie. I have seen it for a million times. It is really funny and interesting. Herbie talks about a girl who wants to buy a new car. But the only one she can get is a broken one called Herbie, and Herbie has emotions and feelings just like the human. Herbie can not only understand what the girl says, it also has a big temperament. At the beginning, the girl and Herbie don’t like each other and they don’t get along well at all. But a few days later, they start to like each other and trust each other. The girl tries different ways to make the car look great and from then on, they become best friends.

Music Career

Lindsay also sings! She is famous for singing and has a beautiful voice. I remember listening to her CD and singing along back in elementary school. My favorite song is called Speak. I have this soundtrack myself so I know that it’s not bad! Try listening to it if you can. This lady sure has the right to popular!

Reflection

We learned many things form the report. We discussed together, designed the poster together, too. We did it happily and we knew more about Lindsay Lohan. We admire her because she can act and sing. We love all her movies and songs. We hope that we can be as talented as she is.

Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year is a special holiday and it is almost celebrated in the entire Asia as well as other parts of the world. It is the most important holiday in Chinese culture. On January first on the lunar calendar, adults will give red envelops to children, and children will put them under the pillow and wish to get good luck in the next year. People will put on spring couplets, which are short verses written on two pieces of red paper, to wish for good luck or well-being in the new year. People or things will be in red because red is considered lucky color. People will put on fireworks or firecrackers because they believe that God will hear the noise we make, and therefore God will come and wish you a Happy New Year!

Baseball Returns to Olympic

After the Beijing Olympic Games, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) once said that there won’t be any more baseball games in the 2012 Olympiad. It is said that because the USA wouldn’t let their Major League Baseball (MLB) players play in the Olympic event. However, this is quite different from the basketball category in which there are all-star NBA players. Moreover, the Olympic in 2012 is going to take place in London, and they don’t want to build a baseball field for a thrill that only lasts two or three weeks. But now, the MLB Association is willing to let the MLB players compete in the Olympic Games. The MLB games will postpone for three weeks during the Olympiad. So maybe the IOC will let baseball return to the games in 2016. If so, that will be a great news.
